Any iPhone developer can add an Audioboo recording function into their apps.

AudioBoo is like a Twitter but with voice recording rather than text. Its been fairly quiet of late, after a burst of hype in 2009.

Its new iPhone framework supports drag and drop audio recording functionality to any iPhone app, so clearly Audioboo is hoping that the move will make its services as ubiquitous as the Facebook or Twitter sharing functions.

There are plans to do the same within Android apps.

It's also hinted that it will tie up with various high profile partners in the coming weeks, including the BBC, ABC Australia, Guardian, Aljazeera and Sky News.
